Anja's leek cheese pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g potatoes, without skin
  • 1 kg leek (approx. 4 – 5 stalks)
  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 300 ml milk
  • 6 slices of processed cheese (important: toast flavor)
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the potatoes, roughly dice them, and boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside. In a large pan, sauté the washed and sliced leeks and the package of cooked ham (cut into strips) in a little olive oil. Add the milk until it is slightly soupy, adding a little more milk if necessary. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Season with freshly ground pepper and paprika, and a little salt. Melt in the 6 slices of processed cheese. Add the potatoes, stir everything together, and let it simmer briefly with the lid closed, but without adding any more heat. My tip: This sauce (without the potatoes, of course) also tastes great with cheese tortellini.
