Ant Cake Ala Meriam
The perfect ant cake ala meriam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Tasse – 200 ml
- 3 cups Flour
- 0,75 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Oil
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 pinch Salt
- 3 Eggs
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 packet Vanilla flavored pudding powder
- 50 g Chocolate shavings

- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven 160 degrees) and grease a cake tin well.
- Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and oil in a bowl and beat until frothy.
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and the vanilla pudding powder and stir in the egg mixture with the milk, spoon by spoon.
- Mix everything together well and fold in the chocolate shavings.
- Fill the dough into the mold, smooth it out and bake for about 55 minutes in the bottom shelf. Do a stick test after 55 minutes. If dough sticks to the wooden skewer, bake the cake for another 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the cake and let it rest in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
- Tip 7: If you like, you can decorate it with powdered sugar or a cake icing as you like.
- Tip 2: Instead of vanilla pudding powder you can also use chocolate pudding powder and possibly add some cocoa and a little more milk.
- Tip 3: If you like, you can stir ground hazelnuts or almonds into the dough. The dough is also good for muffins 🙂
