Ant Cake Ala Meriam

The perfect ant cake ala meriam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Tasse – 200 ml
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 0,75 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 packet Vanilla flavored pudding powder
  • 50 g Chocolate shavings
  • Who likes :
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven 160 degrees) and grease a cake tin well.
  2. Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and oil in a bowl and beat until frothy.
  3. Mix the flour with the baking powder and the vanilla pudding powder and stir in the egg mixture with the milk, spoon by spoon.
  4. Mix everything together well and fold in the chocolate shavings.
  5. Fill the dough into the mold, smooth it out and bake for about 55 minutes in the bottom shelf. Do a stick test after 55 minutes. If dough sticks to the wooden skewer, bake the cake for another 5-10 minutes.
  6. Remove the cake and let it rest in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
  7. Tip 7: If you like, you can decorate it with powdered sugar or a cake icing as you like.
  8. Tip 2: Instead of vanilla pudding powder you can also use chocolate pudding powder and possibly add some cocoa and a little more milk.
  9. Tip 3: If you like, you can stir ground hazelnuts or almonds into the dough. The dough is also good for muffins 🙂
