Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 pts. puff pastry from the refrigerated section (roll, rectangular)
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche (250 g)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g bacon, lean, diced
  • 1 large apple, coarsely grated
  • 2 medium-sized onions, diced
  • salt and pepper
  • Garlic
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Great for a buffet or to bring along for a larger party. Makes about 40 pieces.

Whisk the crème fraîche with the egg, season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Fry the onions in oil. Add the bacon and, towards the end, the apples. Let the mixture cool slightly. Brush the puff pastry with half of the egg mixture and top with half of the onion, bacon, and apple mixture. Roll the pastry tightly, starting from the wide side. Cut into approximately 1-1.5 cm thick slices with a sharp knife. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven) until golden brown.
