  • 100 g chocolate
  • 2 apples
  • 2 cups of cream, approx. 200 g each
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 55 minutes

This recipe is for one round cake. Double the ingredients for a single baking sheet. Prepare a shortcrust pastry base according to the recipe at chefkoch.de. Line a greased pan with the shortcrust pastry and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and thinly slice the apples. Cover the chilled pastry with the chocolate, cut into small pieces, and arrange the apple slices on top. Pour the cream into a bowl, add the three egg yolks and the whole egg, and mix. Pour the cream mixture over the apples. Bake the cake at approximately 170 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) using top/bottom heat for 35 minutes.
