Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 apples, sour
- 250 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 5 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 100 g hazelnuts, ground
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Grease a springform pan with a sponge cake insert and dust with a little flour. Cream the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir in portions. Pour half of the batter into the baking pan and spread evenly. Mix the other half of the batter with the ground hazelnuts, cinnamon, and milk. Then pour into the pan and smooth the surface. Peel, halve (or quarter), and core the apples, then arrange them on the batter with the rounded end down, pressing them lightly into the batter. Bake in a preheated oven (175°C, fan oven 150°C, gas mark 2) for about 50 minutes.
