Apple and potato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 750 g potato(s), waxy
  • 700 g apples, sour
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 300 g cream
  • 300 ml milk
  • Salt and pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a large, shallow baking dish. Wash and peel the potatoes and apples. Halve the apples and core them. Thinly slice the apples and potatoes. Wash and trim the onions and slice them diagonally. Mix the cream with the milk and season with salt and pepper. Layer the apple and potato slices in the baking dish in a shingle-like layer, scattering the onion rings between them. Pour the cream and milk over the gratin. Bake the gratin in the center of the oven (180 degrees Celsius fan oven) for about 45 minutes.
