Apple and savoy cabbage

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g savoy cabbage
  • 1 apple
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100 ml vegetable stock
  • some salt and pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Trim the savoy cabbage (remove the stalk) and cut into 1-2 cm wide strips. Quarter the apple and core it. Then cut the apple into sticks and drizzle with lemon juice. Dice the onion and sauté in 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan until translucent. Add the savoy cabbage, apple, and vegetable stock, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Finally, stir the sour cream into the savoy cabbage and apple mixture and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. This dish goes well with mashed potatoes and carrots and fish, such as salmon or redfish.
