Apple and Sour Cream Rolls

The perfect apple and sour cream rolls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Apples
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 300 g Flour type 550
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 tsp Sugar
  • 300 g Sour cream
  • 70 g Soft butter
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 30 g Chopped almonds
  1. For the batter, wash the apples, dry them, peel them and cut them into small cubes. Mix with lemon juice. Mix the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the sour cream, butter and the apple cubes. Process everything into a smooth dough. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
  2. Knead the dough again on a floured work surface and shape it into a roll. Cut the rolling pin into 12 slices and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Beat egg yolks and milk. Brush the rolls with it and sprinkle with almonds. Bake the rolls in the oven for about 25 minutes and let them cool on a wire rack.
