Baked Apple Cake with Sour Cream

The perfect baked apple cake with sour cream recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 small Apples
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 50 g Marzipan
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 200 ml Sour cream
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 2 Vanilla pods (pulp only)
  • 3 tbsp Agave syrup
  • 2 Egg whites

Dough:

  • 200 g Whole Wheat Butter Cookies
  • 2 tbsp Agave syrup
  • 1 Egg
  1. For the dough, chop up the biscuits and mix with the agave syrup and the egg.
  2. Grease a shape, 26 cm for us, and grease the edge. Spread the dough on the bottom and the wall and press firmly.

  3. Preheat the oven to 150 ° C and cover the dough with baking foil, place a round baking dish in it and prebake for about 10 minutes. Otherwise the floor will rise a little and stay level.
  4. Cut out the apples and fill with the finely chopped marzipan and raisin mixture. Brush the cut surface with lemon juice, otherwise it will turn brown.
  5. Whip the cream until stiff and add the pulp of the vanilla pods. Fold in the sour cream and slowly fold in the whipped egg whites, sweet with agave syrup.
  6. Pour the mixture over the apples and bake at 150 ° C for about 35 minutes.
