Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g apple, finely sliced
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g raisins
  • 125 g almonds, whole, unpeeled
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 ½ packets of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • ½ pack of gingerbread spice
  • some cinnamon
  • some cloves
  • some milk if needed
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 13 hours 20 minutes

Combine the finely sliced ​​apples and sugar and let stand overnight. Then add all the remaining ingredients, finally mixing in the flour and baking powder. If the batter is too dry, add a little more milk. Pour the mixture into one prepared large or two small, well-greased loaf pans. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for a good hour.
