Apple cake with brittle crumble

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, melted
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 60 g brittle (hazelnut brittle)
  • 1 kg apples
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 lemon(s) (organic)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Pour melted butter over the mixture and knead into crumbles. Press about 2/3 of the crumble mixture onto the bottom of a 26 cm springform pan. Mix the remaining crumbles with the brittle. Peel, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Mix with sugar, grated lemon zest, and squeezed lemon juice and spread onto the crumble base. Sprinkle with the brittle crumbles and bake the cake at 170°C for 55-65 minutes.
