Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 100 g butter
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g marzipan – raw mass
- 3 eggs
- 50 g flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder, level
- 4 tbsp cream
- 4 m.-sized apples, sour
- Cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Gradually beat the butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and whole eggs until fluffy. Crumble the marzipan and add it. Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, then stir in portions alternately with the cream. Pour the batter into a small buttered and floured baking sheet, smooth it out, and top with peeled, sliced apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, if desired, and bake for about 40 minutes at 150°C (fan oven) on the second rack (from the bottom). Caution! The cake will brown slightly.
