- 4 onions, red
- 200g Camembert(s)
- 6 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp honey
- 100 g butter
- Thyme
- Salt
- pepper
- olive oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the onions, apples, and Camembert into approximately 3 mm thick slices. The apples do not need to be peeled and cored. Halve the chicken breast fillets lengthwise and season with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick pan and add a little butter. Then fry the onions until golden brown, turning frequently, season with salt and pepper, transfer to a plate, and set aside. Add more butter to the pan and fry the apple slices for about 1 minute on each side. Sprinkle with thyme and a little salt, and set aside on a plate. Halve the pretzel rolls and place each one cut-side down in the pan with a little butter. Briefly toast until crispy, then remove and place on an oven rack. Sear the chicken breast fillets in the pan with a little olive oil on both sides. Season with salt and pepper and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes, turning frequently. Mix the mustard and honey together. Now it’s time to build the burgers: Spread each half of the pretzel bun with the honey mustard sauce. Then place a few onions and one or two apple slices on the bottom half of the bun. Place a chicken breast fillet on top, top with two slices of Camembert, an apple ring, and onions, and cover with the top half of the bun. Place the finished burgers in the preheated oven for 2 minutes, then serve.
