Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 eggs
- 120 g powdered sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- ½ lemon(s), grated peel and juice
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 100 g cake crumbs (biscuit crumbs), light, finely grated
- 300 g apples, sour
- Cinnamon-sugar mixture for sprinkling
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Line a suitable ovenproof dish with baking paper, beat the whole eggs with the sifted powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and lemon zest until very frothy, then carefully fold in the biscuit crumbs. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash, peel, halve, and core the apples. Cut into thin slices and drizzle with lemon juice. Line the bottom and sides of the baking dish with the apple slices. Pour in the egg mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Then turn the casserole out of the dish and carefully remove the baking paper. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before serving.
