Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g apple, sour
  • 125 g whole grain oat flakes
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 75 g butter, soft
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 100 g honey
  • 100 ml milk
  • Butter, for the mold
  • 1 apple

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

delicious dessert

Peel, core, and slice all but one of the apples. Mix the oats with the cornstarch and baking powder. Add the butter, egg yolks, honey, and milk; mix well. Fold in the apple slices. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold in the beaten egg whites. Grease a baking dish and pour in the batter. Peel the remaining apple, core it with a corer, slice it into rings, and place it on the casserole. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes.
