Apple – Chocolate – Jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples (prepared, weighed)
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, in some water
  • 100 g chocolate sprinkles (dark or milk)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the apples, core them, and cut them into small pieces. I don’t peel them because of the vitamins and the flavor. Sauté the apple pieces with lemon juice and a little water (a film of water) for about 5 minutes; this reduces the cooking time of the jam. Carefully puree the soft apple pieces (careful, it’s hot!) with a hand blender and stir in the gelling sugar. Cook the jam according to the package instructions and test for setting. Remove the jam from the heat and quickly stir in the chocolate sprinkles. Pour the jam into rinsed screw-top jars and turn upside down for 15 minutes, then turn them upside down again. Makes 4 standard jam jars. Also great as a cake topping or for dessert.
