Apples with crumble, quick and easy

Peel, core, and slice the apples into thick wedges. Combine the sugar, lemon juice, Marsala wine, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt and mix with the apple slices. Using the dough hook on a food processor or by hand or a fork, knead the oats, sugar, flour, and softened butter into a crumbly dough. Preheat oven to 180–200°C (fan oven). Mix the apples and rum raisins and pour into a shallow, greased baking dish. Cover with the crumbles. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30–40 minutes. If the crumbles are still too light, simply broil for a few more minutes, but keep an eye on the browning! Delicious cold or warm. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. You can also use plums instead of apples.
