quick sponge cake with addictive factor 10

Combine all ingredients (except for the icing) in a bowl and beat with a hand mixer for a few minutes until creamy! Peel and dice the apples, fold in, and then pour the batter into a greased ring tin. Bake at 170°C for about 1 hour (towards the end of the baking time, insert a wooden skewer into the cake; if the batter still sticks to it, the cake is not yet cooked; baking times vary from oven to oven and depend on the juicy apples used). Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and place on a wire rack to cool further. Now mix the icing sugar and egg liqueur to make the icing. Spread this over the cooled cake.
