Apple fritters

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 120 g flour
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 8 tbsp coffee cream
  • 2 apples
  • Oil, for baking
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Whisk the egg and sugar in a bowl until frothy. Add the lemon zest and salt. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir in. Melt the butter. At the same time, stir it into the batter along with the coffee cream. Peel, core, and grate the apples. Fold into the batter. Fry 12-15 doughnuts in oil until golden brown. Roll in powdered sugar and serve while still warm.
