Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 125 g flour
- 125 ml milk
- 1 egg(s)
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- e.g. powdered sugar
- e.g. frying fat

quick and easy
In a bowl, mix the milk, egg, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Sift the flour and baking powder into the batter and stir until a smooth, sticky batter forms. Heat frying oil in a pan to 175–180°C. Pour the batter into a squeeze bottle or jug and pour it into the hot oil, first in circular motions and then randomly. Fry the funnel cakes for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown, carefully turning them once. Remove from the oil and drain on kitchen paper. Dust the funnel cakes with a generous amount of powdered sugar and serve while still warm.
