Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 370 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 220 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some lemon peel
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vinegar, mild
  • 1,000 g apples
  • 100 g sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • 50 g raisins
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Knead the first 7 ingredients into a shortcrust pastry and chill for 20 minutes. In the meantime, peel the apples, cut them into small pieces, and mix them with the cinnamon, raisins, and rum. Halve the dough, roll it out into a rectangle on a board (preferably on baking paper), and place it on a small baking sheet or dish, approximately 30 x 20 cm. Cover with the apple mixture and sprinkle with sugar. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Shape the remaining dough into rolls and place them in a lattice pattern on top of the apple filling. Bake for approximately 45 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
