Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 150 g quark, 20% fat
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 jar apple compote, 365 g
  • 3 tbsp muesli (chocolate muesli)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 30 g granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple juice
  • 90 g powdered sugar
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead flour, baking powder, quark, milk, oil, sugar, and vanilla sugar into a smooth dough. Roll out on a floured surface to approximately 36 x 48 cm and cut into 12 x 12 cm squares. Mix the apple compote with the muesli and add about 2 tablespoons to each square. Brush the edges of the dough with a little water. Fold the dough over to form triangles and press down. Mix the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth and brush over the muesli pockets. Sprinkle about half of the muesli pockets with sugar. Bake in a preheated oven (E: 175°C) for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. Mix the apple juice with the powdered sugar until smooth. Transfer to a freezer bag and cut off a corner. Decorate the unstuffed apple muesli pockets with icing.
