Apple Natas

The perfect apple natas recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Pudding mix

  • 100 g Flaked almonds
  • 200 g Apples tart, peeled and pitted
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 5 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 0,25 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  1. Grease the hollows of a 12-cup muffin tin. Baking paper in 12 strips approx. 4 cm wide; Cut 12 cm long and line each hollow with a strip. Unroll the dough and cut out circles (approx. 9 cm in diameter; e.g. with a glass). Preheat the oven to 225 ° C.

Apple mix

  1. Wash, quarter, core and finely dice apples. Heat the lemon juice, butter and sugar in a pan. Add the apples and simmer for 3–4 minutes. Stir in the cinnamon. Take off the stove. Drain the apples in a colander, collecting the butter syrup.

Pudding mix

  1. Cut the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp. Bring the milk, vanilla pod and vanilla pulp to the boil in a saucepan. Mix the flour, sugar and salt, stir into the milk and bring to the boil again. Take the pot off the stove and let it cool down a little. Remove the vanilla pod. Stir egg and egg yolks into the cream.
  2. First distribute the apples, then the cream in the puff pastry wells. Bake in the hot oven for about 20 minutes. Mix the almonds with the apple syrup. After about 15 minutes, remove the muffin tray, spread the almonds on the apple natas and finish baking. Take out, let cool. Use the strips to lift them out of the hollows and dust with powdered sugar.
