Apple pancake

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 eggs
  • Salt
  • 40 g sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 100 ml cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 250 g apples
  • 2 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • some powdered sugar
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form, gradually incorporating the sugar. Whisk the egg yolks with the flour, milk, cream, vanilla sugar, and rum. Carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Wash, peel, and quarter the apples. Core and slice them. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Heat the sunflower oil in a pan, then add the batter and apple slices. Bake the pancake in the hot oven for about 4 minutes. Then remove and tear into pieces. Add the powdered sugar and butter, and toss the pancake pieces in the pan again on the stovetop. Serve hot.
