Mini waffles from the tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 8 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 120 g sugar
  • 270 g flour
  • 240 ml milk
  • 4 apples, grated
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 36 minutes

Suitable for toddlers, makes 2 x 18 pieces

Preheat oven to 200°C (fan). Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then beat the egg yolks, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Slowly stir in the milk, then stir in the flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Fold in the grated apples and egg whites. Grease a mini waffle baking sheet (mine holds about 18) beforehand, if necessary, pour in the batter, and bake the waffles for about 12 minutes. Tip: You can replace up to one-third of the flour with grated nuts, and the apples with carrots or zucchini.
