Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 180 g flour
- 200 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 apple
- Oil or clarified butter for baking the pancakes
- Powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, maple syrup or honey
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
To make the batter, first put the flour, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, eggs, and milk in a bowl and mix until there are no more lumps. Then set the bowl aside and let the batter rest for 15 minutes. Of course, apples are a must for apple pancakes. Peel and core them, then chop them into small pieces. The larger the apple pieces, the more bite they will have in the pancakes. You can also grate the apple if you like very fine pieces of fruit in the batter. Then add the apple to the batter in the bowl and stir it in well. Then you can fry the pancakes in a little oil or clarified butter until golden brown on both sides. You can serve the pancakes as is, or with a little cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, honey, or maple syrup. This recipe makes 4-5 apple pancakes.
