Apple and Mango Compote

Ingredients
 

  • 1,5 kg Apple Boskoop or others
  • 2 Mangoes
  • 1 Lemon
  • 125 ml Orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Sugar as desired

Instructions
 

  • Pour water into a large bowl, squeeze the lemon and pour the juice over the water.
  • Wash and peel the apples, cut out the core, cut into quarters and place in the lemon water.
  • Peel the mangoes, cut the flesh into wedges and dice.
  • Pour orange juice into a large saucepan, add the sugar, apple and mango pieces and cook to make a compote.
  • In the meantime, rinse jars with twist off lids in hot water and dry them out.
  • Pour the compote into the glasses provided and put the lid on.
  • Pour water into a baking dish and place in the oven preheated to 80-90 degrees.
  • Place the jars filled with the compote in the frying pan and let sterilize for about 30 minutes. Let cool, remove and label.
