Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g wheat flour, type 550
  • 50 g corn flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 g honey
  • 80 g butter or margarine
  • 5 m.-sized apples, (Boskop)
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • optionally almond flakes, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

with corn flour, Swedish recipe

Preheat oven to 180°C. Soften butter or margarine slightly at room temperature. Combine flour and baking powder. Add eggs, honey, and butter or margarine (to taste) and mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased 26cm springform pan. Peel and slice the apples, then arrange them on top of the dough. Sprinkle with raisins and flaked almonds and bake for about 50 minutes.
