Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Lemon peel, some
  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 125 ml eggnog
  • 800 g apples
  • 60 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 pack of cake glaze, white
  • some lemon peel
  • some cinnamon, whole
  • some carnations

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel, core, and quarter the apples. Place them in a large saucepan with water and the spices. Bring to a boil with the water and spices. Simmer for about 2 minutes, then strain and reserve the juice. Cream the softened butter with the icing sugar, lemon juice, and eggs. Stir in the flour mixed with the baking powder, cornstarch, and egg liqueur. Spread the batter into a prepared 28cm springform pan and top with the well-drained apple slices. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 30-35 minutes. Strain the juice through a sieve and mix it (it should be 250ml – top up with water if necessary) with the cake glaze according to the instructions. Then drizzle over the cake.
