Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 jar sugar
  • 1 jar flour
  • 1 jar semolina (soft wheat)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • some cinnamon (to taste)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 kg apples
  • 150 g butter (frozen)
  • Fat for the mold
  • Breadcrumbs for the form

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

The glass used as a measure holds 200 ml. The cake is baked in a 26 cm springform pan (information comes from the thread in the baking forum where the recipe was originally presented). Peel and coarsely grate the apples, mix with 3 tablespoons of sugar, the cinnamon and vanilla sugar and divide into 2 equal parts. Mix the flour, sugar, semolina and baking powder together and divide into 3 equal parts. Grease a round baking pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Spread 1 part of the flour mixture evenly on the bottom. Spread half of the apples on top and cover with the second part of the flour mixture. Then distribute the remaining apples on top and sprinkle with the remaining flour. Finally, grate the frozen butter and spread it evenly over the cake. Bake in a preheated oven at approx. 180 degrees top/bottom heat for 40 – 45 minutes.
