Apple Pudding Cake from Tray

The perfect apple pudding cake from tray recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough

  • 250 g Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 400 g Flour
  • 250 g Margarine
  • 5 Pc. Eggs size M
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 1 pinch Salt

For the pudding

  • 2 packet Vanilla pudding powder
  • 200 g Sour cream
  • Vanilla sugar

For the sprinkles

  • 200 g Butter
  • 140 g Sugar
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1,5 kg Apples to taste
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection)
  2. Quarter the apples, peel them, remove the core and cut into slices (you can make the thickness of the slices as you like) and drizzle with lemon juice.
  3. Cook the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions and allow to cool a little.
  4. For the dough: Beat the margarine until frothy and slowly pour in the sugar. Gradually add the eggs and mix with the milk to a creamy mass. Sieve the flour and baking powder over the mixture and mix everything together and stir to form a smooth dough.
  5. Spread the dough evenly on a baking sheet.
  6. Now stir the sour cream into the still warm vanilla pudding and spread over the dough. Now distribute the apple slices on top.
  7. For the crumble: knead the flour, butter, egg yolk, cinnamon and sugar together to make crumble and spread over the apples.
  8. Bake the cake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
