Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 125 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 375 g walnuts, pieces
- 250 g apples, peeled and diced
- 125 g sultanas
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time. Stir the sour cream and vanilla into the butter mixture. Then add the flour mixture and mix well. If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sparkling mineral water to loosen the dough. Finally, add the walnuts, apples, and sultanas. Transfer to a greased loaf pan and bake in the oven (preheated with fan, not fan-assisted) at approximately 175°C (convection oven approximately 160°C) for approximately 120-130 minutes. Test to see if the dough is cooked through. A delicious bread that has already made my family addicted.
