simple and delicious

Combine all the dough ingredients in a bowl with the dough hook of a mixer or food processor and mix for a few minutes until you have a firm dough. It shouldn’t stick; then you need to work quickly. If this is the case, roll out the dough into a rectangle on a sheet of baking paper. Then grate the apples and spread them on the dough. If the apples are very juicy, squeeze a little of the grated mixture with your hands. The resulting juice can be used later for the icing. Then, using the baking paper, roll the rolled-out and covered surface into a log. Then cut 1-2 cm thick slices and place them on the baking paper. Spread the rolls apart a little to make them fluffier. If desired, sprinkle the rolls with finely chopped nuts. If you like, you can also add the nuts and grated apples to the rolled-out dough beforehand. Now bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (convection oven) for about 30-40 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the ingredients for the glaze and brush or drizzle it over the still-warm snails. Makes about 12.
