Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml orange juice
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 packs of vanilla pudding
  • 1 kg apples
  • 2 cups of cream
  • Cocoa or cinnamon
  • 125 g margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Mix the vanilla pudding with a little orange juice. Bring the remaining orange juice to a boil with the vanilla sugar and sugar. Remove from the heat briefly and add the mixed vanilla pudding. Bring to a boil. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Fold them into the hot pudding. Prepare the shortcrust pastry and line a springform pan with it, pulling up the edges. Spread the apple pudding mixture on top and bake at approx. 180°C for 60-70 minutes using top/bottom heat, then leave to cool in the pan. Whip 2 cups of cream until stiff peaks form and cover the cake with it. Sprinkle with cocoa or cinnamon if desired. The cake tastes best if made the night before and allowed to rest for a while.
