Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with applesauce
Mix the quark with the oil, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift half of it through a sieve into the base mixture. Then knead in the remaining flour with your hands. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out round discs (approx. 10 cm in diameter). Spread half of each disc with 1 teaspoon of applesauce. Brush the edge of the discs with a little milk and fold the discs together. Press the edges of the discs together firmly with a fork and place them on a greased baking sheet (or baking paper). Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the apple turnovers for about 15 minutes. Sift the icing sugar into a bowl and mix with hot water until smooth. Brush the icing sugar over the apple turnovers immediately after baking. As soon as the icing has set, the apple turnovers are ready to eat.
