Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g flour
  • 220 g sugar
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 150 g butter
  • 300 g sugar
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 200 ml liquid honey
  • 200 ml cream
  • 400 g almond flakes
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

For the base, mix the flour with the baking powder. Then, in a bowl, knead it with the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, then gradually add the 6 tablespoons of water. Divide the dough into two portions and roll each out on a baking sheet. For the topping, melt the butter in a saucepan, then lightly caramelize the honey, vanilla sugar, and sugar. Next, add the cream and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Now mix in the almonds and hazelnuts, and spread the mixture evenly over both bases. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C – 200°C fan/convection oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cut into triangles, ideally while still warm.
