Asparagus and strawberry toast

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g asparagus
  • 250 g strawberries
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 2 tbsp forest honey
  • 2 tsp green pepper
  • some butter
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Bring 1 liter of water to a boil with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and a dash of lemon juice. Cook the peeled asparagus for about 12-15 minutes until al dente. Chop the strawberries slightly and gently warm them in a pan with the honey, green pepper, and a pinch of salt; do not boil. Toast and butter the slices of white bread. Arrange the well-drained and patted asparagus on top. Arrange the warm strawberries on top and drizzle with a little honey from the pan.
