Asparagus fried in aluminum foil

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 20 stalk(s) asparagus, white
  • 2 oranges
  • Butter, as desired
  • pepper
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary or other herbs

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the asparagus and trim the ends. Place 5 asparagus spears per person on a piece of aluminum foil and season with the herbs (you can also use other herbs/spices). Peel and slice the oranges, placing two slices on top of the asparagus and covering them with knobs of butter (not too sparingly). Wrap tightly, preferably twice, in aluminum foil. Cook in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Grill on a charcoal grill for about 20 minutes, turning carefully at least once. Oven-baked asparagus is best served with simple toast.
