Mozzarella mushrooms

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 large mushrooms
  • 1 pack of mozzarella, cut into pieces
  • 1 dashes oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella

Clean the mushrooms and remove all the stems. Cut the mozzarella into small pieces and press them into the mushrooms. Season the mushrooms and drizzle with oil. Simply place them on the grill as is or in an aluminum grill tray and grill for about 10 minutes. Be careful not to expose the mushrooms to too much heat, as they are quite delicate and prone to burning. You should also be careful when removing the mushrooms from the grill, as they can easily slip out of the pan. The best part is the juice that runs from the grilled mushrooms (simply soak it up with bread or a roll and enjoy). I always make something else with the stems, with the ends cut off: I chop the stems into tiny pieces and stick them into the mushrooms before the mozzarella. This gives them a bit more flavor and you don’t throw everything away.
