Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g asparagus, frozen (fresh asparagus also works)
- 2 tbsp butter
- Sugar
- salt and pepper

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Asparagus not cooked.
Preheat oven to 180°C. Pile the asparagus onto a sufficiently large double piece of aluminum foil. Spread the butter, sugar, and salt (just enough) over the foil. Loosely pinch the foil over the asparagus (there should be an air pocket inside). Bake for 45-55 minutes. Done. This way, the asparagus retains all its flavor, and none of it disappears into the cooking water.
