Asparagus in ham with chicken strips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 500 g asparagus, fresh or from a jar
  • 1 cup cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia Feta & Cucumber)
  • 250 g chicken fillet(s)
  • 1 jar mushrooms
  • some salt and pepper
  • little oil
  • some milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

delicious and low in calories

First, cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Then add the oil (I like to use peanut oil) to a pan and season the minced meat and mushrooms with salt and pepper and fry. While the minced meat and mushrooms are sizzling in the pan, wrap a few asparagus spears (I used pre-cooked asparagus from a jar; fresh asparagus needs to be cooked first, of course) in a slice of cooked ham and place them in a large casserole dish. Now add the package of cream cheese (other varieties are also possible, of course) to the minced meat and mushrooms. Add a splash of milk and heat while stirring. Then spread the mixture over the ham and bake in the oven at around 180°C for 20 minutes. It tastes delicious and has few calories.
