Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g margarine
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • some flavoring (lemon flavor)
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 6 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat the margarine with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the pan. Add a few drops of lemon flavoring to refine the flavor. Next, stir the milk into the batter, a tablespoon at a time. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and place 1 heaped tablespoon of batter on each. Leave enough space between each layer to allow for the batter to spread. Then bake on the middle rack for 13-15 minutes until light brown. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice. Finally, spread the glaze over the baked American cookies while they are still warm.
