Asparagus toast à la tarte flambée

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of toast
  • 1 kg asparagus, cooked
  • 100 g cream cheese (you can also use herb cream cheese)
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 100 g diced ham (cooked ham or smoked ham, as desired)
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Lightly toast the bread and place it on a baking sheet. Mix the cream cheese with milk until smooth. Stir in the diced ham and grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange the asparagus spears or broken asparagus on the bread slices. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the slices. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
