Asparagus with Difference
The perfect asparagus with difference recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g German asparagus
- 6 Discs Gouda cheese
- 6 Discs Cooked ham, slices as large as possible
- 1 Egg
- 100 g Flour
- 100 g Breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- Peel the asparagus (I had 6 nice thick sticks) and cook it in salted water with a small piece of butter (but it should still have a “bite”)
- Wrap 1 stick of asparagus with a slice of Gouda cheese, then wrap a slice of ham around it.
- Then turn the asparagus and Gouda ham pieces in flour and then knock them off lightly.
- Pull through the beaten egg and roll in the breadcrumbs at the end.
- Fry in a pan with heated oil until crispy.
- You can eat the breaded asparagus hot or cold.
- Tastes super delicious, you don’t need a side dish …. makes you feel full and the asparagus tastes completely different.
