- 2 rolls
- 120 g Gouda, grated
- 4 slices of Gouda
- 1 bell pepper(s), green
- 1 large beefsteak tomato(s)
- salt and pepper
- Mustard
- 1 small onion(s)
- 1 egg(s)
- 350 g minced meat, mixed
- Paprika powder
- Tomato paste
- Breadcrumbs
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Make a meat batter from the minced meat, egg, onion, breadcrumbs, mustard, tomato paste (to taste), and seasoning. Dice the young Gouda cheese and mix it into the meat batter. Cut open the rolls and spread the meat batter on top. Make sure the meat batter reaches the very edge, otherwise the edges of the rolls will be too dry. Bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for about 10-12 minutes. After baking, it’s best to lift the minced meat slightly with a fork to check that it’s cooked through. Then top each roll half with bell pepper rings, tomato slices, and cheese slices. Return to the oven until the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
