Austrian Semolina Dumplings
The perfect austrian semolina dumplings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 150 g Semolina
- 40 g Butter
- 0,5 liter Milk
- 2 piece Bread roll
- 1 piece Egg
- 1 piece Onion
- Parsley crispy fresh
- Salt

preparation
- Toast the finely chopped onion in a little oil or butter. Briefly toast the diced bread from the day before with the parsley.
- Bring the milk to a boil, add the butter and salt and then slowly pour in the semolina.
- The overcooled mass is now mixed with the egg and the roasted onion including pieces of bread.
- Let it steep for 10 minutes.
- With wet hands, form dumplings from the mixture and cook in salted boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Pour some melted butter over it and serve.
tip
- You can also add a little toasted bacon to the mixture.
