Authentic LC – Rice porridge

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • ½ liter soy milk (soy drink)
  • ¼ tsp butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 20 g egg white powder, vanilla flavor
  • 35 g soy (soy granules)
  • 1 tbsp edible bran (wheat bran)
  • n. B. Sweetener, liquid or powder
  • Cinnamon or cocoa powder
  • possibly egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Heat the soy milk with butter and vanilla extract on the stovetop; do not boil! Stir in the egg white powder and let it swell briefly. Add the soy granules to the hot, but no longer boiling, milk. Let it sit in the hot milk until the granules are well swollen. Stir in the wheat bran and let it swell briefly. Serve with cinnamon or cocoa powder, if desired. Tip: For a rice casserole, prepare the porridge with a little more soy granules, let it cool slightly, stir in 3 eggs, and bake at 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
