with marzipan, cinnamon, raisins, almonds and walnuts

The cake is laid out on a deep baking sheet with internal dimensions of 26 x 40 cm and a thickness of approximately 4 cm. For the baked apple topping, peel and dice the apples. Mix well in a bowl with the vanilla sugar, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in the raisins and bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the dough. Mix the melted butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs. Add the seeds of one vanilla pod. Gradually add the flour and baking powder and stir the dough until smooth. Place the dough on a baking sheet and spread it into the pan with your hands, pressing it down. Remove the baked apples from the oven and return them to the bowl. Add 50 g of ground almonds and mix. Cut 50 g of marzipan into small pieces and fold in. Crack the walnuts, place them in a freezer bag, and break them into small pieces using a nutcracker. Mix the walnut crumbs with the apples. Spread the apple mixture over the dough. Cut the remaining marzipan into cubes and spread evenly over the apples. Sprinkle 40g of chopped almonds over the apples. Bring the cream to a boil with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and custard powder. Spread evenly over the apples. Place the cake in the preheated oven at 200°C. Remove the cake from the oven after 30 minutes, when the custard is nicely browned. For the topping, scatter the sliced almonds over the cake and sprinkle with sugar. Spread the melted butter evenly over the almonds. Return the cake to the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, until the topping is caramelized. The cake is best enjoyed warm.
