Toffee liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bottle of brown rum
  • 2 cans condensed milk, sweetened
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 3 cups whipped cream
  • e.g. gingerbread spice or orange flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

extremely quick and addictive

Boil the sealed cans of condensed milk in a water bath for about 2.5 hours. This caramelizes the mixture. Then let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, add the cream and let it reduce slightly for about 30 minutes. Open the cans and thoroughly blend the mixture with the vanilla bean pulp, the rum, and the reduced cream using a hand-held blender. The result is a heavenly caramel liqueur, which I like to add to my Christmas flavor, for example, with gingerbread spice or orange flavoring.
