The fastest cake in the world – for spontaneous guests

You’ve probably experienced this before: unexpected visitors call for coffee, and you don’t have any cake at home. And you don’t have time to bake one either. Or you’re using puff pastry and have two slices left over. How about this? Thaw two slices of frozen puff pastry. No need to roll it out! Place a 100g bar of chocolate on one slice (any flavor is up to you. Anything from milk to hazelnut to white chocolate is possible). Place the other slice of puff pastry on top, seal the sides together well, and you’re done. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C on the middle rack for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Tastes good hot or cold! If you like, you can decorate it with cream, chocolate, etc. after it’s cooled. Sure, it’s not the most festive cake or the most sophisticated cake in the world, but it’s certainly the quickest and easiest. And you don’t have to just drink the coffee on its own; you’ll have something delicious to snack on on your plate.
